IWS GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS® is Sri Lanka’s pioneer in Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and GPS based consumer electronics. Established in 2004, IWS GIS' independent geographical data gathering of Sri Lanka has built up a unique and impressive enhanced digital database, this being our primary proprietary resource for all our location based services.

With its initial introduction in 2005 of a revolutionary Satellite Vehicle Monitoring and Management system with optional add on security features - 'TrackerLite', being at the forefront in GPS Vehicle Monitoring / Management Development. We aim to encourage this emerging growth by enabling businesses to improve or replace time consuming manual tasks associated with managing a mobile workforce.

The launch of Sri Lanka’s first in vehicle voice navigational system together with Dialog Telekom "Dialog Sat Nav" in has seen a tremendous response in Sri Lanka’s most anticipated commercial product release.

The year 2006 will bring the launch of Navfone - a digitized street directory that allows you to view Colombo maps on mobile phones with Symbian operating systems, packed with additional features and functions for independent navigation to points of interest and much more. Another first for Sri Lanka.
